It was attended by members of the Union of Korean Students in Japan, Koreans in Japan and Japanese students and citizens from different parts of the country.

The meeting heard a report on the activities conducted in different parts of Japan against the Japanese government's discrimination against the Korean schools.

It was followed by a drama staged by Korean students in Japan which clarified the essence of the policy of discriminating against the Korean schools and linked the April 24 struggle for education with the on-going struggle for the settlement of the issue of support to the Korean schools.

A declaration of Korean students in Japan was read out at the meeting.

The declaration called for intensifying the activities to defend the Korean schools and the right to national education.
