The State Commission of Quality Management has striven for raising the quality of products, regarding it as an important demand for the building of an economic power and as a work to stir up the people's national pride and self-esteem.

The Commission took steps for its affiliated units to put emphasis on the standardization of products, steadily improve their standards on a unified basis in reflection of the consumers' demands and combine utility with aesthetic value in working out industrial art designs.

It set up a model supervisory office in each province for all other offices to let the production units pay deep attention to raising quality.

The supervisory offices have often organized inter-sector shows of quality products in an effective way, while urging the industrial establishments and service units to use the registered measuring instruments.

All production units are asked to strictly observe the order of forwarding and selling any products after taking quality inspection and assurance.
