Displayed at the venue of the exhibition were photos of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un who provided and strengthened the DPRK-Russia friendly relations.

Also displayed there were photos dealing with the reverence of the Russian people for the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and the friendly relations between the two countries.

Present at the opening ceremony were Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Ki Nam and DPRK Vice Premier Kang Sok Ju, who are members of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, and other officials concerned, working people in Pyongyang, the delegation of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation led by Kazbek Taysaev, secretary of Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and vice-chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the State Duma of Russia, Alexandr Timonin, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

Present on invitation were diplomatic envoys and embassy officials of different countries here.

An opening address by Alexandr Timonin was followed by congratulatory speeches by Kim Ki Nam and Kazbek Taysaev.

Kim Ki Nam expressed thanks to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation for proposing the exhibition and striving for its success.

He said that it is the consistent stand of the WPK and the DPRK government to boost the DPRK-Russia friendly relations in the spirit of the joint documents adopted between the two countries.

Kazbek Taysaev said that the exhibition is a clear expression of the comradely relations and solidarity existing between the two parties.

Highly praising the greatness of Kim Jong Un, he noted that the humankind is admiring the struggle of the Korean people rushing forward like a shot for the bright future under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The participants looked round the exhibition hall.

The opening ceremony was followed by the film show.

The participants watched the Korean documentary film "History of Everlasting Friendship."
