Drought Continues in DPRK

| Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- A spell of dry weather has continued for more than 40 days from February 10, with no rainfall or a little in most parts of Pyongyang, South Phyongan, North Hwanghae and South Hwanghae provinces and some parts of North Phyongan, Kangwon, Jagang and South Hamgyong provinces. The average precipitation stands at around 1.6 mm in the western coastal and central inland areas, the lowest since Juche 50 (1961). No rainfall is expected in those areas until mid-April. |
