Present there were officials of the Ministry of Urban Management, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, Grand People's Study House and other officials concerned, staff members of the UNICEF mission here and foreign guests.

Speeches were made at the event.

Lectures were given under the titles "On World Water Day", "On use of water and energy in our country" and "Survey results on use of waterworks across the country in 2013."

Lecturers said that the DPRK has instilled importance of water into the people on the occasion of the World Water Day every year.

They stressed the need to know better about co-relations between water and energy and pay deep attention to the work for saving precious water.

The participants watched the Korean science film "Gravity-fed Waterworks" and looked round photos on display.
