Rodong Sinmun Monday in an article says the validity and vitality of the WPK's new strategic line have been clearly proved in the past one year.

The validity and vitality of the line are clearly manifested in serving as the powerful treasured sword for preventing a war and firmly defending the sovereignty of the nation, the article says, and goes on:

The U.S. and its followers prodded the UN Security Council to cook up "resolutions on sanctions" on the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes. At the same time, they got frantic in the moves to ignite a war with huge forces for aggression involved. But the U.S. imperialists dared not unleash a war of aggression, yielding to the great unity of the service personnel and people of the DPRK who are rallied close around the WPK and its powerful war deterrent.

The validity and vitality of the line are also powerfully demonstrated in the drive to build an economic power and improve the standard of people's living.

The WPK advanced the new strategic line as required by the developing revolution and legalized it. The legalization of the line makes it possible for the Korean people to push forward the building of an economic power with mind at ease by dint of powerful war deterrent no matter how the situation may change.

Last year the service personnel and people of the DPRK made miracles and feats in the drive for the country's prosperity while shattering the U.S. confrontational moves against it and pushing forward the building of an economic power simultaneously in the same spirit as they occupied space and with the same stamina as they succeeded in high-grade nuclear test.

The facts prove that the final victory for the building of a thriving nation lies in carrying through the WPK's new strategic line.
