The statement accused the Japanese authorities of letting the Tokyo District Court make an illegal decision to allow the sale of the Korean Hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on March 24.

The statement said:

This is a sinister plot hatched by the Japanese government in collusion with the court and the Resolution and Collection Corporation for several years as part of their suppression aimed at stifling Chongryon.

It is a shameless political operation for the Japanese authorities to undermine Chongryon active for the peaceful reunification and prosperity of the country and the rights and interests of the Koreans living in Japan with pride and honor of being an organization of members of the Korean nation.

The above-said illegal decision is a token of suppression of Koreans in Japan and, at the same time, an act of showing enmity toward all Koreans in the north, south and abroad.

The Japanese government should rescind the mean and disgraceful decision.

The Japanese government will be held accountable for recklessly suppressing Koreans, oblivious of its ill-fame as a war criminal state.

It is natural for the Japanese government to honestly apologize to Chongryon and Koreans in Japan and give assurances against the recurrence of the above-said case.
