Landing Drill Targeting DPRK Protested in S. Korea

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Members of the People's Action for Peace against War of south Korea staged a protest in the area of Phohang, North Kyongsang Province on March 31 denouncing the Ssangyong drill for aggression being staged by the U.S. imperialists and their allies, according to the south Korean internet paper Thongil News.

The protesters branded the large-scale landing drill as an offensive drill for occupying key strongholds of the rival side, not a "defensive drill" for repelling other's attack.

It is a matter of great concern that the military hostile acts are conducted at a time when the south and the north should open a chapter for dialogue and hold negotiations for building peace-keeping mechanism, they deplored, urging the warmongers to immediately stop the military exercises.
