Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier, officials concerned and officials, workers and players in the field of public health.

Minister of Public Health Kang Ha Guk said in his speech made at an opening ceremony that supreme leader Kim Jong Un watched the sports games of workers in the field of public health in May last year, instilling faith in certain victory and optimism into them and showing warm loving care.

He called on all players to fully display high sports technique which they trained during mass sports activities as well as a high sense of solidarity and noble spiritual and moral traits in all games.

At the end of the ceremony, there took place men's and women's volleyball matches.

The games will go on until May 1. The participants will compete in various games including basketball, volleyball, table-tennis, tug of a war, Ssrium, track-and-field and group running at the stadium and other places.
