The contest, divided into kindergarten and primary school groups, was attended by more than 70 kindergarteners and primary schoolchildren of the first and second grades.

Yun Yong Myong, director of the Pyongyang Paduk Centre, told KCNA:

The number of attendants has increased remarkably in the 14th contest.

In the primary school group, Ji Kwang Ung from Songuja Primary School in Mangyongdae District came first in the male's individual event and Kim Hyon Gyong from Phalgol Primary School in Mangyongdae District in the female's individual event.

In the kindergarten group, Pak Tu Il from Soryong Kindergarten No. 1 in Taedonggang District placed first in the male's individual event and Sim Ji Hong from Munsu Kindergarten No. 1 in Taedonggang District in the female's individual event.

Munsu Kindergarten No. 1 in Taedonggang District and Sinwon Kindergarten in Pothonggang District topped the list in the team event.
