Displayed at the venue of the exhibition were photos of Kim Il Sung receiving overseas Koreans and those of General Secretary Kim Jong Il signing the north-south joint declarations.

Also displayed were photos of Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un inspecting units of the Korean People's Army and giving on-the-spot guidance to various units of the economic sectors.

Photos showing the development of the DPRK were also displayed.

Present at the exhibition were Chairman Ju Yong Il and Vice-Chairman Ko Tae Chun of the association, the editor-in-chief of the paper Thongil, heads of art troupes of Koreans and compatriots.

Ju Yong Il said in his speech that the Day of the Sun is a common holiday of not only the Korean people but also overseas compatriots and progressive mankind of the world.

He went on:

The exhibition offered us an opportunity to recollect again the immortal feats the President performed by devoting himself to Korea's liberation, socialist construction and the cause of achieving the country's reunification.

The immortal feats he performed on behalf of the country and the people, the era and the revolution and his noble popular traits are being cherished deeper in the minds of compatriots day by day.

Marshal Kim Jong Un is invariably and confidently leading the DPRK to the road of independence, Songun and socialism by carrying forward the idea and cause of the President.

He called upon compatriots to turn out as one in the work for the country's reunification and prosperity under the banner of the north-south joint declarations.

The participants looked round the venue of the photo exhibition.
