It is bringing together players of Taekwon-do teams and various other units from across the country. They will compete in Taekwon-Do, paduk (go), wushu and karate games.

Present at the opening ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Yong Su, department director of the C.C. of the WPK, officials concerned, players, coaches, youth and students.

Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, in an opening address said that Taekwon-Do is developing day by day, demonstrating the resourcefulness and valor of the Korean nation before the world.

He called upon all players and coaches to give full play to their techniques.

Players and instructors of the National Taekwon-Do Team presented demonstrations.
