The statement noted that the Japanese authorities instigated the Tokyo District Court to make an illegal decision of allowing the sale of the land and building of the Korean Hall of Chongryon recently.

It went on:

This is touching off bitter indignation among overseas compatriots as it is a premeditated and deliberate action to destabilize and stamp out Chongryon.

When looking back on history, Japan adopted a hostile policy toward the DPRK as its state policy and has since resorted to ceaseless political suppression and persecution of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

The decision of allowing the sale of the land and building of the Korean Hall of Chongryon means crackdown upon the Koreans in Japan and a politically-motivated repressive act against all Koreans in the north, the south and abroad.

Chongryon has performed its noble mission for the DPRK-Japan friendship and peace in Northeast Asia. And the Japanese authorities' decision to seize the Korean Hall of Chongryon will not escape strong denunciation by the peoples of the DPRK and Japan and have a serious impact on the DPRK-Japan relations.

The headquarters bitterly condemned the Japanese authorities' moves to seize the Koreans Hall of Chongryon and urged them to revoke the illegal decision at once.
