The Bangladeshi paper Weekly Industry on March 23 said:

Under the leadership of the President the Korean people fully displayed the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance during the 15 year-long arduous armed struggle to liberate the country.

During the Korean War to beat back the U.S. imperialists' aggression the President led the service personnel of the Korean People's Army to defeat the aggressors with the unique war methods including the tunnel warfare and win victory.

After the war he put forward the original line for economic construction on giving priority to the growth of heavy industry while simultaneously developing light industry and agriculture so that the Korean people might advance along the road of independence.

The Nigerian newspaper Nigerian Observer on March 25 carried an article. It said:

The President worked heart and soul to accomplish the cause of global independence all his life.

He sincerely helped the cause of independence against imperialism in other countries.

The banner of independence held high by him even now serves as the great motive power instilling great strength and courage into progressive mankind.

The State Radio and the "F.M. 90. 5" Radio of Cambodia on March 28 introduced the glorious revolutionary life and immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung, saying that the world public are recollecting with deep emotion his personality as a great man on the occasion of Day of the Sun.
