Present there were Jin Kil Sang, director of the Rights and Welfare Department of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), officials of the Center for Consulting Marriage of Korean Youth in Japan and such other centers across Japan and Koreans in Japan.

Ri Ae Ho, director of the center, made a speech.

Ri said that the center has conducted the sacred work to preserve the national character and lineage of the Korean nation in the community of Koreans in Japan over the 20 years since it was set up on Mar. 23, 1994.

Referring to the importance of the national marriage in the community of Koreans in Japan, Ri expressed the will to further develop the work of such centers across Japan to meet the aspiration and demand of compatriots in the future.

Then a congratulatory message from the Agency of Overseas Korean Affairs of the DPRK was read out.

Screened there was a video titled "20 year-long history of Center for Consulting Marriage of Korean Youth in Japan".

A performance was given by Korean artistes on the same day.
