Moves for Abusing Inter-Korean Relations for Election Accused in S. Korea

Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Voice of People carried an editorial titled "Drones appeared unexpectedly before election without commitments" on April 3. It is not too much to say that the upcoming June 4 local election is the one without commitments, the editorial said. There continues a death march such as the suicide committed by a mother and her two daughters in Songpha District, Seoul and the resentment of the people in distress is running high but political parties styling themselves mouthpieces of the people speak nothing about the people's life, it charged. There is no commitment to democracy, either, it deplored. The case of the Intelligence Service's interference in the election, the fabrication of spy case, etc. are serous matters directly related to the impartiality of the election but they are not mentioned as core matters, it said, and went on: Contrary to it, the drone issue is appearing in the election all of a sudden. Media are now linking with the north the letters on the unidentified drones which crashed on Paekryong Island and in Phaju, Kyonggi Province. This reminds us of "No. 1" written on a torpedo propeller found at the time when Cheonan warship sinking case occurred in the run-up to the June 2 local election four years ago. The fabrication of "north wind", racket for "eliminating forces following the north", insistence on defending "northern limit line" and other matters related with the north have been used as cards of deciding the results of each election. This features elections in south Korea. Acts of abusing the south-north relations for security of power should never be allowed in the forthcoming election. |
