The speakers at the conference said the Japanese government adopted the "three principles on the transfer of hardware for defence" on April 1 meant to totally lift the ban on the export of weapons.

They said the policy is also targeted against the Korean peninsula just like the exercise of the "right to collective self-defence", adding this will make it possible to offer south Korea offensive weapons jointly produced by the U.S. and Japan.

They warned that they would never remain an on-looker to the Japanese authorities' act of sparking off an arms race and fanning up confrontation in Northeast Asia.

They demanded the south Korean authorities force Japan to withdraw the new principles, not conniving at it.
