The statement said:

The Japanese authorities have persistently committed the politically-motivated suppression and persecution of Chongryon, a dignified overseas Koreans organization of the DPRK, and finally kicked off the fascist action of deciding to seize the Korean Hall of Chongryon.

The decision touched off the surging indignation of the Korean nation as it is a typical example of the persistent hostile policy toward the DPRK pursued by the Japanese authorities.

To ensure the national right of Koreans in Japan, who are direct victims of the forcible drafting of Koreans committed by Japan in the past and their descendants, is the state obligation of the Japanese authorities and unavoidable legal and moral responsibilities.

The illegal decision of allowing the sale of the land and building of the Korean Hall of Chongryon is a wanton violation of the dignity and the right to existence of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, and an infringement upon the sovereignty of the DPRK.

The statement bitterly denounced the Japanese authorities for their brigandish moves to seize the Korean Hall of Chongryon and strongly urged Japan to lift at once the illegal decision.
