The Myanmar paper The New Age on March 31 carried an article titled "Eternal Sun of Juche" under the banner line of "We pay highest respects to HE President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, on the occasion of his 102nd birth anniversary, April 15, 2014". The article said:

Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, is praised by the world revolutionary people as the eternal sun of Juche.

He provided the great guiding idea of the cause of independence by founding the Juche idea.

The brilliant victory and successes achieved by the Korean people in socialist construction under his wise leadership greatly encouraged the world revolutionary people in their struggle for independence.

The March 31-April 6 issue of the Laos paper Heng Ngan noted in an article:

Kim Il Sung opened up a new era for developing the international relations based on independence.

He raised independence as the fundamental principle of state-to-state relations, and the exercise of equality and sovereignty in external activities as the iron rule.

He is the closest comrade of the world revolutionaries and progressives.

He will be alive in the hearts of the world people aspiring after independence as the eternal sun of Juche as he opened up the era of independence and devoted his whole life to the victorious advance of the human cause of independence.
