Korean Friendship Association Raps Japan for Suppressing Chongryon

| Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain released a statement on Mar. 30 condemning the Japanese authorities for their moves to seize the Korean Hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). The statement said: We bitterly denounce the Japanese authorities for their violence to seize land and building of the Korean Hall. Japan imposed untold misfortune and pain on the Korean people during its occupation of Korea for more than 40 years. Many Koreans were taken to Japan owing to its occupation of Korea. They have been persecuted every day and time, not enjoying a peaceful life even after the Second World War. We strongly demand Japan stop at once suppression of Koreans in Japan and its moves to seize the Korean Hall. |
