Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations held a press conference in Seoul on April 3 in protest against the regime's move to open rice markets, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Voice of People. The speakers at the press conference disclosed the move of the authorities to totally open the rice markets. The Park Geun Hye regime seeks to leave the rice markets to the tender mercy of outsiders and deteriorate the livelihood of peasants, they held. They vowed to fight it out, risking any sacrifice to stop the opening of the rice markets. They made public an action plan including the opening of a large-scale peasants' rally and formation of the Headquarters of All-People Movement. They warned that they would not vote for any political party and candidate who support the opening of the rice markets in the upcoming local elections. |
