Hyon Sang Ju, chairman of the C.C., the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made a report to be followed by speeches.

He is the most distinguished statesman and outstanding strategist at the present time who is leading the revolutionary cause of Juche to victory, possessed of pure loyalty to President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, distinguished leadership caliber, matchless courage and pluck.

He opened up a new chapter of the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leaders and made sure that their revolutionary life and immortal feats are shining forever.

They underlined the need to greatly contribute to building an economic power and improving the standard of people's living by raising a strong wind of a leap forward on all fronts for building a thriving nation, true to the New Year Address made by him and the new line of the WPK on simultaneously building up the economy and defence.
