The title of academician was awarded to Kim Jong Nam, director of the Hygienic Hospital of the Korean General Red-Cross Hospital, and two others and the title of candidate academician to Jo Jong Do, room chief of Kim Il Sung University, and four others.

Professorship went to Ri Jun Yong and Jo Chon Gyu, teachers at Kim Il Sung University, Ri Yong Su, rector of Kim Po Hyon University, Kang Il Yong, vice-director of an institute of Kim Chaek University of Technology and five others.

Doctorate went to Ri Chang Hwan, teacher at Kim Il Sung Higher Party School, Sin Yong Chol, vice dean of Kim Il Sung University, Pak Jae Yon, Mun Myong Hwa and Yang Suk Hui, department heads of the same university and 76 others.

Assistant professorship was awarded to 100 persons.

An awarding ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Thursday.
