DPRK People Enjoy Lots of Social Benefits
|
|
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- The system of universal 12-year compulsory education has come into force in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, starting on April 1, 2014. The system obliges the government to cost the whole of educational fees. The DPRK government has shown all kinds of social benefits for its citizens, ranging from universal free education, universal free medical care to social insurance and security. The social insurance programs include temporary subsidies and maternity allowance. The state social insurance budget covers the fees for excursion, camping and rest at health resorts. The government distributes dwelling houses to residents free of charge. In recent years, many apartment houses have been built at the state expense across the country, including Changjon Street, Unha Scientists Street and the apartment houses for educators of Kim Il Sung University. Most of the DPRK citizens do not know properly about what kinds of social benefits they are granted by the state and how much the state pays for the benefits. They are now working hard to make the country more prosperous, with honor of living in the blessed socialist system. |
