The Executive Committee of the Warsaw Regional Committee of the Polish Communist Party expressed the resentment at the fact that the Tokyo District Court made a decision on allowing the sale of the land and building of the Korean Hall of Chongryon, and went on:

The court's act is a mean move to block the legitimate activities of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

The Japanese authorities have not yet made an apology and reparation for their crimes committed against the Korean people.

We strongly demand the Japanese authorities withdraw at once their decision on allowing the sale of the building of Chongryon and stop all sorts of persecution against Koreans in Japan.

The Polish Branch of the Korean Friendship Association stated:

The Japanese authorities have resorted to the moves to distort history in order to conceal their past crimes and evade the responsibility for them. This is the height of shamelessness and an insult to the dignity of the people of Korea and other Asian countries.

Not content with this, they have cracked down on the Koreans in Japan and encroached on their rights and this time instigated the Tokyo District Court to make an illegal decision on allowing the sale of the Korean Hall of Chongryon.

The decision made by the court is an illegal act contrary to the Japanese law, judicial precedents of the court and elementary practice of auction procedures.

We urge the Japanese authorities to stop at once their cunning and fraud moves infringing on the rights of Koreans in Japan.

We extend firm solidarity to the struggle of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.
