They covered with their bodies an explosive going off while defusing a time bomb dropped by the U.S. imperialist aggressors during the past Fatherland Liberation War and thus defended the tower to the immortality of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the life and property of the people and died a heroic death.

An awarding ceremony took place at the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Security Bureau on Sunday.

Present there were Kang Phil Hun, director of the Political Bureau of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, Pak Yong Ho, chief secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, people's security persons and the bereaved families.

After a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK was read out, the title of DPRK Hero, Gold Star Medal and Order of National Flag 1st Class awarding to Choe Yong Il and O Myong Su were conveyed to their bereaved families.

Certificates of patriotic martyrs were awarded to them.

Then Order of National Flag 1st Class was awarded to Kim Chang Il and Im Chang Sok, people's security persons of the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Security Bureau.

Resolution-making speeches were made at the ceremony.
