They were the Association for Promotion of Friendship between Japan and North and South Korea, Kazuyoshi Hishiki, professor emeritus of Hiroshima Shudo University, Ibrahim Mantu, chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, Daniel Alvarez Celi, chairman of the Ecuadorian Committee for Supporting Korea's Independent and Peaceful Reunification, and Kosima Weber Liu, executive director of the Environmental Education Media Project.

He was also presented with floral baskets by the Japan-DPRK Friendship Kyoto Net for the Promotion of Cultural, Scientific and Civilian Exchange and Nada Takashi, representative of the Ehime Institute for Contemporary Korean Issue in Japan, in congratulation of his reelection as first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.
