Koreans in Japan Meet to Celebrate Kim Il Sung's Birth Anniversary

Tokyo, April 13 (KNS-KCNA) -- A meeting of Koreans in Japan was held at the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo on April 12 to celebrate the 102nd birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. Displayed above the platform of the hall was a portrait of smiling Kim Il Sung with the flag of the DPRK for a background. A floral basket was seen standing before it. Present at the meeting were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), officials of Chongryon, compatriots and teachers and students of Korean University. Ho Jong Man in his report extended highest tribute to Kim Il Sung representing the boundless reverence of all officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan on the occasion of his 102nd birth anniversary. He stressed that it is the greatest honor of the Korean people and eternal happiness of the generations to come to hold Kim Il Sung revered by the whole nation and world as the eternal leader. He noted that the 20th century was the century which shined with the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung and his personality as a great man in name and reality, adding he would be always alive as the eternal leader of the Korean people and the sun of humankind. The reporter recalled that leader Kim Jong Il preserved and developed Chongryon, precious patriotic legacy left by Kim Il Sung, and wisely led it to steadily demonstrate its honor as a model of the movement of the world overseas Koreans. He noted that the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are shining more brilliantly and the revolutionary career of the great men of Mt. Paektu is given steady continuity as the history of the Sun thanks to supreme leader Kim Jong Un. A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out there. On the same day a concert was given to celebrate the 102nd birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung. |
