A ceremony took place in Abuja on April 8 to rename the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and convey the certificate of honorary chairman to be presented to Kim Jong Un.

Present there were personages and members of Juche idea study organizations of Nigeria, students of Abuja University, the DPRK ambassador to Nigeria and his embassy officials.

Alhassan Mamman Muhammad, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said at the ceremony:

Marshal Kim Jong Un formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the guiding idea in the era of independence, as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. This is an event of great significance not only for the Korean people and world progressives.

Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea with deep insight into the requirements of the new era when the popular masses have emerged master of their destiny.

Kim Jong Il glorified and developed in depth the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities.

It is quite natural to make sure that the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il go by their august names.

The validity and vitality of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism have been clearly proved in the history of the DPRK shining with victory and glory.

We decided to rename the Nigerian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

It is the greatest honor and privilege of the Nigerian people to register Kim Jong Un as honorary chairman of our committee as he formulated the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

The certificate of the honorary chairman was conveyed to the DPRK ambassador to Nigeria at the ceremony.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted there.
