Prior to the meeting the participants laid bouquets before the statues of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Wonsan City and paid tribute to them.

Present there were the captain and crew of the Panama-flagged ship Sea Star 7. Speeches were made there.

Speakers said Kim Il Sung, the most distinguished leader in the 20th century, performed great feats on behalf of the country and people, the era and history under the unfurled banner of independence, Songun and socialism. They went on:

His idea and cause are being carried forward by Kim Jong Il who wisely led the struggle to accomplish the socialist cause.

Today the revolutionary cause of Songun is being successfully realized on a new higher stage thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un, another distinguished great man.

Kim Jong Un is firmly defending the dignity of Songun Korea and leading the whole of the revolution and construction with his clairvoyant wisdom and resolute decision.

The speakers wished the Korean people greater successes in building a thriving nation and accomplishing the cause of national reunification, rallied close around Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
