DPRK's Holidays Observed by Indian and Nigerian Media

| Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- An Indian newspaper carried a special write-up and a Nigerian organization posted a special article on its internet website on the occasions of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (Day of the Sun) and the 21st anniversary of the election of leader Kim Jong Il as chairman of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. The Indian newspaper Science Technology and Education News on April 4 devoted a whole page to articles under the headline tilted "On the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of the great President Kim Il Sung" illustrated with his photo. The paper in an article titled "Happy day of President" said that Kim Il Sung, eternal leader of the Korean people, took his joy from serving the people all his life. It cited facts to prove it. The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea posted an article titled "Eternal chairman of the NDC" on its internet website on April 6. The article said that Kim Jong Il is the eternal chairman of the NDC, adding that he established the state machinery centered on the NDC and provided a firm legal guarantee for enforcing Songun politics, thereby laying groundwork for the eternal prosperity of the DPRK. The article introduced in detail that Kim Jong Il consolidated the political and ideological base of the country as firm as a rock and ushered in a new era of the building of a thriving socialist nation. |
