Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers carried special write-ups illustrated with the portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung and photos dealing with exploits of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung). The Mongolian newspaper Khodolmor No. 14 said in an article titled "Leader of the people": Kim Il Sung, who embarked on the road of revolution in his early years, indicated the way to be followed by the era and humankind by founding the Juche idea and the Songun idea. He liberated Korea by defeating Japanese imperialism and built the country of the people. He successfully defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country by repulsing the aggression by the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world. He also set a world model in the struggle for accomplishing the human cause of independence. He was the great leader of progressive mankind who positively supported the national liberation struggle of different countries and their efforts for building a new society. The April issue of the German newspaper Rote Fahne said in an article titled "Exploits President Kim Il Sung performed in state building" that he set forth the idea and theories of building a state centered on the popular masses and turned the DPRK into a socialist power of independence, self-sufficiency and self-reliance in defence. The solid foundation provided by him is the basic guarantee for the eternal victory of the DPRK, the paper noted. The British paper The New Worker on March 28 in an article titled "To ensure peace is the firm will of the DPRK" introduced the struggle of the service personnel and people of the DPRK for mending the north-south relations and preventing a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula. |
