The Socialist Party of Romania said:

The Japanese authorities' illegal decision on allowing the forcible sale of the Korean Hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) is a wanton violation of the dignity and rights of Koreans in Japan and a grave encroachment upon the sovereignty of the DPRK.

We once again remind the Japanese government that the Korean Hall of Chongryon has played the role of a diplomatic mission of the DPRK for the DPRK-Japan friendship and peace in Northeast Asia in the absence of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and Japan.

The Japanese authorities should immediately stop their political crackdown and national persecution against Chongryon and Koreans in Japan and cancel at once their decision on allowing the sale of the Korean Hall of Chongryon.

The Socialist Party of Romania will positively support the Korean people's just struggle.

The Romanian Workers' Association denounced the Japanese authorities for their suppression of Chongryon.

We vividly remember the crimes committed by Japan against the Korean people from long ago.

We strongly urge Japan to stop its moves to seize the Korean Hall of Chongryon.
