The letter extended the warmest congratulations to Kim Jong Un on his reelection as first chairman of the NDC of the DPRK at the 1st Session of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK by the unanimous will and desire of all the Korean people.

The festival once again strikingly demonstrated its noble ideal, good tradition and great advantages and vitality by greatly contributing to further consolidating the friendship and solidarity, exchanges and cooperation among artistes of various countries of the world, it said and continued:

During the festival we most significantly celebrated the Day of the Sun when President Kim Il Sung was born together with the Korean people and witnessed the bright appearance of the Korean people who sincerely love justice and peace, filled with the conviction of certain victory of their cause and optimism.

We have seen for ourselves with admiration the great achievements made in building a thriving nation and in the fields of culture and arts in recent years under your leadership and the sky-high spirit of the DPRK making a leap forward with dynamism.

We are very pleased that the festival was held with success and we spent more pleasant and meaningful days thanks to the sincere efforts of the close Korean people and the festival organizing committee.
