Vietnamese Art Troupe Proves Successful at Art Festival in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Among the foreign art troupes participated in the 29th April Spring Friendship Art Festival held here was the art troupe of the National Song and Dance Theatre of Vietnam. The art troupe gave its performances, which began with an instrumental ensemble "The Sun of the East", at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre as part of the festival.

The instrumental ensemble reflected the boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung and Ho Chi Minh who had performed undying feats in developing the friendly relations between the DPRK and Vietnam.

The art troupe also put on the stage several Korean songs like "Attraction and Reverence", "Ardent Desire" and "Glory to Our Great Party" to be acclaimed by audience.

Especially, a male trio "Song of Loyalty" made the audience recall with deep emotion the whole life of Kim Il Sung who had devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people through ceaseless field guidance.

Do Truong Anh, a musical director of the troupe, told KCNA that the troupe prepared famous Korean songs for the festival, adding all the artistes of the troupe love Korean songs.

The troupe also attended the 28th April Spring Friendship Art Festival.
