Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- A south Korean organization for movement for peace against war hosted a photo exhibition in Seoul on April 16, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Minbo. On display were photos disclosing Japan's past crimes and reinvasion moves. Speeches were made before the exhibition. Speakers denounced Japan for intensifying the militarist moves for veering to the Right as evidenced by the distortion of past history, the undisguised wild ambition for grabbing other's territory, moves to exercise the "right to collective self-defense" and renouncement of the policy on arms embargo. The distortion of history is aimed to cover up the past crimes, they charged. They accused Japan of working hard to revive militarism, far from making an apology and reparation for the crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past by inflicting the fate of colonial slave and all kinds of misfortune and sufferings on the Koreans. They blasted the U.S. for instigating Japan, a war criminal state, to exercise the "right to collective self-defence", seeking a military alliance among the U.S., Japan and south Korea and ratcheting up military tensions in Northeast Asia. They expressed hope that the photo exhibition would offer an occasion for warding off Japan's moves for the revival of militarism and positively contributing to peace on the Korean peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia. The organization said it would hold the next photo exhibition outside the U.S. embassy from April 21 to 25. |
