The process of implementing the line, laid down at the March 2013 Plenary Meeting of the WPK Central Committee, is tantamount to making a death-defying showdown with the U.S.-led imperialists.

By dint of mental power, the DPRK has been keeping to the line without slightest vacillation.

In the 1960s when the situation became volatile on the Korean Peninsula, the WPK advanced the line of simultaneously building up the economy and defence and called on all the people to fully display mental power for its implementation.

To this end, the WPK Central Committee issued an appeal to all the Korean people in August 1963 and sent a series of letters only in the 1960s to all the party members calling upon them to take the lead in carrying out the line.

Thanks to the mental power displayed by the army and people in response to the Party's calls, the DPRK could witness a solid foundation for economic development and emerge victorious in defending socialism, displaying its might as a military power.

Today the WPK directs primary efforts to giving full play to the mental strength of the masses in implementing the new line.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un told it is the mental power of the popular masses that works miracles. He sent a historic appeal to all the DPRK servicepersons and civilians, the embodiment of the Juche-oriented theory on giving importance to ideology, and convened the 8th Conference of Ideological Officials of the WPK to usher in the heyday of socialist Korea.

The U.S. and its allies are persistently slandering the WPK over its new strategic line, calling for "nuclear abandonment" and "improvement of livelihood".

However, no force can hold in check the advance of the DPRK people, convinced of the validity of the Party's new line that guarantees sovereignty, peace and prosperity.

The final victory is in store for the DPRK people making dynamic advance by dint of ideology.
