The deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress of Ghana said on April 14:

Kim Il Sung saved the Korean people from the destiny of the colonial slave and put forward them as the most dignified people in the world.

He provided the solid self-supporting national economy and powerful national defence capability so that the Korean people might dynamically advance along the road chosen by them.

He clearly indicated the road to be followed by not only the Korean people but the world progressives and made tangible contributions to the independent development of African countries, in particular.

Saber Ballul, head of a department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus, Syria, said on April 13:

Kim Il Sung was the benevolent father who dedicated his all to the country and people till the last moments of his life and invincible and iron-willed brilliant commander and outstanding strategist who defeated U.S. and Japanese imperialism in one generation.

He was the tender-hearted father of the Korean people and the great sun revered by all peoples as he turned the DPRK into a genuine people's country, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.

Guy Dupre, vice-president of the France-Korea Friendship Association, said on April 7:

The world progressives are significantly celebrating the birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung together with the Korean people. We pay highest tribute to him.
