The statement said: The inter-Korean relations made a good start at the outset of the year thanks to a positive initiative of the DPRK. But this process was derailed by the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military maneuvers, pushing the relations between the north and south to the brink of a war.

The inter-Korean relations remain in the state of confrontation due to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, the policy aimed to meet its interests through the continued division of Korea, and the policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen pursued by the pro-U.S. lackeys in south Korea who kowtow to it, staking their fate on it.

Park should make a bold option to roll back the anachronistic policy of confrontation as early as possible, bearing in mind that her policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen would not help garner "people's support" but spark off nationwide resistance.

The statement urged her to properly understand the desire of the nation and sincerely opt for developing the north-south relations before it is too late.
