Minju Joson Discloses U.S. Aim of Weaponry Modernization

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Navy plans to carry out various tests with laser gun mounted on a warship, according to foreign press reports. The U.S. claims that if it develops laser gun at any cost, that will be a "revolution" in the field of weaponry and the present mode of battle will undergo a dramatic change. The test, the first of its kind, planned to be staged in Persian Gulf is a blatant challenge to the human desire for peace, says Minju Joson Tuesday in a commentary. The aim sought by the U.S. through the modernization of weapons is to carry out its strategy for world domination. That's why the U.S. pours a colossal amount of fund into the development of ultra-modern weapons though it is subject to pressure for automatically cutting down its defense spending. This proves once again that the U.S. is a war state and a harasser of peace hell-bent on realizing its scenario for world domination. The U.S. unreasonable scenario to threaten humankind and put the world under its control can never be justified nor can come true. A key factor of deciding a victory or defeat in any battle is man, not any sophisticated weapon. The U.S. military act of staking its fate on the development of ultra-modern weapons is completely anachronistic. It should look back on its position where it is reeling because of serious financial shortage caused by huge military spending, and immediately stop its reckless acts. |
