Mounting high is the people's grudge against the incompetent Park regime which failed to rescue children aboard the ferry in distress, the statement said, adding:

The regime was busy giving wide publicity to the rescue operation but failed to conduct an underwater rescue operation at a critical time for the rescue of survivors.

The authorities were not concerned about rescuing people from the beginning.

In the final analysis, the Park regime was to blame for the death of children.

Clear now is the reason why families of those who went missing insisted on walking to Chongwadae from Jin Island, South Jolla Province, chanting slogans "Government is killer!" "Bring back our children to life!".

Murderers must be punished and Park has to own all responsibilities, the statement urged.
