On display at the venue of the meeting were photos documenting the sacred revolutionary career and immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung and photos showing the true picture of Songun Korea.

Juan Jose Leon Vega, first vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification, said at the meeting:

Kim Il Sung, who was born in a patriotic and revolutionary family and embarked upon the road of the revolution in his teens, launched an arduous armed struggle and defeated the Japanese imperialists to liberate the country.

He founded the DPRK, led to victory the Fatherland Liberation War against the aggression by the U.S. imperialists and turned the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence.

He laid solid foundations for Korea's reunification and made great contributions to accomplishing the global cause of independence.

We will make positive efforts for Korea's reunification and further strengthen friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.

Haifa Fersi, chairperson of the Tunisia-Korea Friendship Association, and other speakers said that Kim Il Sung would always live in the hearts of all people as he indicated the way to be followed by mankind by founding the great Juche idea and performed undying exploits for the Korean revolution and the global cause of independence through his energetic leadership.
