Servility to U.S. Will Bring Misfortune to Japan: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and Japan recently agreed to additionally deploy two Aegis destroyers in Japan till 2017. A vice department director of the Japanese Defense Ministry claimed that this is aimed to secure the capability for detecting round-the-clock north Korea's move for missile launching and intercepting it. Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes in a commentary in this regard: It is preposterous for the Japanese reactionaries to talk about "missile threat" from the DPRK, while making a groundless speculation that someone would turn Japanese islands into a sea of flames at once. What should not be overlooked is that Japan is taking issue with DPRK over its satellite launch as "missile launch" and becoming frantic in its moves to establish a missile shield in collusion with the U.S. under this pretext. The Japanese reactionaries replaced their military strategy of "exclusive defense" with preemptive attack and painted the missile shield development and deployment with "interception", but no one believe it and its aggressive nature can not be covered up. Clear is the purpose of their talking about the "missile threat" from the DPRK. They seek to justify the establishment of an ambitious missile shield and find a pretext for invasion of the DPRK. At present they are trying to find an excuse for arms buildup by dancing to the tune of the U.S. confrontation racket against the DPRK and put spurs to the preparations for reinvasion under the active patronage of their American master. However, Japan should know that the servility to the U.S. would bring disaster only to Japan running headlong into aggression and war. Japan had better be prudent before making a mess of its destiny for its bad habit of having drawn water to its mill by taking issue with others with the help of big countries. |
