Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Hong Song Dam, an artist of south Korea, in a lecture given in Tokyo on April 13 called for respecting human rights and achieving peace against war, according to Choson Sinbo, the organ of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). Hong said that Japan and south Korea are twins in committing corruptions and concealing them by dint of state power and entrusting their destinies to the U.S. Both Japan and south Korea are disqualified to say about sovereignty and democracy as they can not exercise their rights to diplomacy and military affairs without the permission of the U.S., he said, and went on: Japan and south Korea is little different from a state of the United States. All the wars and disputes in the world are ascribable to the U.S. The U.S. is trying to use Japan and south Korea for realizing its military strategy of the Pacific region. Hong called upon all the artists in Asia to arouse the people's consciousness of human rights and peace against war through solidarity actions. |
