Birth Anniversary of Kim Il Sung Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- Celebration events took place at DPRK missions abroad to mark the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung during the period from April 2 to 18. They included receptions, photo and book exhibitions and film shows held at the DPRK missions in Cuba, Vietnam, Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Austria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Senegal, Libya, Egypt, Ethiopia, the DR Congo, Brazil and Peru and the DPRK permanent mission in the UN Office in Geneva and International Organizations and the DPRK permanent mission in the UN. Displayed on the front walls of the venues of the events were portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and full-length pictures of the President standing together with Kim Jong Il. Floral baskets and bouquets were seen before them. On display at the venues of the events were photos documenting the undying exploits of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un, famous works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and photos and books introducing Songun Korea. The participants in the film shows watched Korean films including "Kimilsungia" and "Pyongyang Today". The permanent vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam said that Kim Il Sung devoted his whole life to the country, nation and the socialist cause. The prime minister of the Yangon Regional government of Myanmar said that the future of the DPRK is rosy and the Korean people will surely build a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. The deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of DR Congo said that the revolutionary career of Kim Il Sung, who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people, will shine long with the DPRK steadily developing under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. |
