The editorial said that the south Korean Cabinet's general resignation is inevitable as the incompetence of the Park's regime is brought to light as regards the ferry Sewol sinking accident.

The present regime is in the general crisis as the public opinions at home and abroad are becoming vocal demanding Park, not Cabinet, step down, it noted.

What matters is that the inter-Korean relations are in the worst crisis incomparable with the ferry sinking accident, it deplored.

If toughest tensions reminiscent of the eve of a war are to be defused, the Park regime should make a policy switchover for national cooperation, stop the human rights smear campaign against the north and joint military exercises and lift the "May 24 step", to begin with, it said.

If not, the Park regime should be wholly responsible for catastrophic consequences, it said, warning the present authorities that there is no time now.
