Chongryon Headquarters Vow to Glorify Congress with Pride of Victors
Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- A meeting of headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) took place in different parts of Japan to vow to glorify the 23rd Congress of Chongryon.

There took place in Tokyo, Japan on April 24 a meeting of officials and active members of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon to respond to the rally of officials and active members of Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon in which they vowed to wage as a general offensive the 70-day campaign for making the Congress a springboard for a great leaping progress to the fresh heyday of the glorious Kim Jong Un's era.

Present there were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Hwang Myong, chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon, and other officials and active members.

Hwang Myong made a report.

He said he was greatly moved to take part in the rally in Osaka Prefectural Headquarters and to hear the appeal made by officials and active members reflecting their unshakable will, sincerity and conscience.

He called for making the Congress a springboard for a leaping progress for opening up a fresh heyday in the movement of Koreans in Japan come what may.

Then followed speeches by Ryang Chun Sik, chairman of the Etogawa Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, and Jo Myong Jin, chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of the Korean Youth League in Japan.

Nam Sung U in his speech said officials and active members under the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon should wage the 70-day campaign as a general offensive with the firm will and resolution to implement the idea and intention of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

He called for making redoubled efforts and attaining goals without fail and thus greet the Congress with the pride of victors.

Similar meetings took place in Kanagawa Prefectural Headquarters, Jiba Prefectural Headquarters and Aichi Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon on April 24 and 25.
