Senior State Officials Visit Songdowon International Children's Camp and January 8 Fishery Station of KPA

Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Senior state officials Sunday visited the Songdowon International Children's Camp and the January 8 Fishery Station of the Korean People's Army. They included Pak Pong Ju, Ro Tu Chol, Thae Jong Su, Vice Premiers Kim Yong Jin, Ri Mu Yong and Ri Chol Man, chief secretaries of provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions. They visited the camp where they laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and paid tribute. They went round various places of the camp which turned into a palace for children. They were very impressed to see the campers buildings in modern style, the International Friendship Children's Hall, outdoor playground, gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and water park, aquarium, aviary, and other places where everything needed for the camp life of schoolchildren is in place. The visitors went round the newly-built January 8 Fishery Station of the KPA. From a ship they enjoyed a bird's eye view of the station, which has modern boats, freezing store, modern harbor facilities, and a dormitory for fishermen, houses and others. They were greatly impressed to see the facilities for freezing and salting aquatic products and a conveyor for sorting and washing fishes, a flat-style freezer, refrigerator cars, the dormitory and a resting room. |
