Fishery stations in the East Sea of Korea are catching large quantities of fish by introducing effective fishing methods.

Fishing stations in the West Sea, after starting fishing earlier than usual this year, are carrying on fishing operations in the main fishing grounds. Measures have been taken for storing fish while making preparations for deep-sea fishing.

Signal successes have been made in increasing output of various species of seaweed.

The stations are also making efforts to beef up their material and technical foundations to put fishing on a scientific basis.
