Present there were teachers and students of Guinean Art College.

The dean of the Faculty of Fine Art of the college said in a lecture titled "The first revolutionary national united front in Korea-the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" that the Korean people were waging a dynamic struggle for achieving the independent peaceful reunification of the country through the great unity of the whole nation in the idea of By the Korean Nation Itself.

The dean went on:

The Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland was founded on May 5, 1936.

The association was the first anti-Japanese national united front which was founded and led by President Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

It grew to be a pan-national organization in a short period since its founding and made a great contribution to overthrowing the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule and achieving the liberation of Korea.

Thanks to such tradition of the great national unity the Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Social Organizations in North and South Korea was held after the liberation of the country and the Pan-National Alliance for Korea's Reunification formed in the 1990s.

And the year 2000 witnessed the north-south summit, the first of its kind in the history of division and it culminated in the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration which called for independently solving the issue of the reunification of the country by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.

Korea's reunification is sure to be achieved as there is a powerful weapon for achieving the great national unity on the basis of the rich experience gained in the movement of the national united front and the will of all Koreans to thoroughly implement the June 15 joint declaration, the milestone of reunification.
